Hi Elaine - Thanks for viewing GE Model GFQ14ESSNWW! By design, combination washer/dryers typically do not have lint traps. Lint will be flushed from the unit through the drain line. We recommend cleaning the drain pump filter on a regular basis to prevent build up and allow the unit to drain efficiently. The flow of air takes the lint to a zone that is not accessible to the user, but the buildup is flushed away during the rinse cycle of the next wash. We suggest viewing page 16 of the Use and Care Guide regrading cleaning the pump filter: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-3000230-2.pdf - If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to ask, we are also happy to help at GEAppliances.com! Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There's a lint trap in the bottom right front corner of the machine to catch things like loose threads, coins, and other debris. But there's no lint trap like the mesh screen type in a conventional dryer. The large black rubber gasket/door seal gets a lot of lint on it during the dry cycle. I always clean this off with a baby wipe between loads. I haven't had any problems with lint balls being left on clothes so far.
