  • QuestionI have a GTW330ASK0WW washer. In the manual, there is a table for Wash Cycles. It says there are 2 options for Spin Selection: Max/Extra and Normal. How do I change the Spin Selection to Normal? Ours must set to Max because it is very long & loud.

    • Answer Hi CrazyLoudSpin- Thanks for your purchase! The washer does not offer manual speed selections. The washer has a variable speed motor. The variable speed motor adjusts the agitation and spin speeds throughout the cycle based on the cycle selected, the load size, and the amount of torque (resistance) it gets from the load. There is no "fixed" speed for slow or fast speeds. The wash cycle controls the type of washing process. The charts on pages 9-10 in the Owner's Manual will help you match the items to be washed with the best wash cycle settings. For optimal performance. Unbalanced loads can cause the washer to vibrate more. Stop the machine and redistribute the load, if necessary. Make sure the washer is level. The more the legs are extended, the shakier the washer will be during operation. Keep in touch! SUEatGEA

  • QuestionIn the features section it list this washer has a delay start feature. I do not see in the picture where the delay start setting is. Does this washer have a true delay start setting? Thank you

Check out our GE® 4.5 DOE cu. ft. stainless steel capacity washer GTW685BSLWS. This model features Delay Wash. When the Delay Wash button is repeatedly pressed, the delay time is set from 1 (01H) to 9 (09H) hours and back to clear (00H) hours. If an out-of-balance condition is detected by the washer, the Spin light will blink during the remaining portion of the cycle and will stay illuminated for a short time after cycle completion. When this occurs, the washer is taking actions to correct the out-of-balance condition and complete the cycle normally. In some cases, the washer may not be able to balance the load and spin up to full speed. If you notice the load is more wet than normal at the end of the cycle, redistribute the load evenly in the wash basket and run a Drain & Spin cycle. Also, check for oversudsing. Try less detergent. Measure your detergent carefully. Use less soap if you have soft water, a smaller load or a lightly soiled load. Switch to High Efficiency detergent. Electronics may need to be reset. Unplug washer and wait 2 minutes.     • Answer Hi Daniel- Thanks for viewing our GE Top-Load Washers! To reduce wrinkling in any washer, match cycle selection to the type of fabric you are washing (especially for easy care loads). Incorrect wash and dry cycles can cause wrinkling. Also, avoid mixing heavy items (like jeans) with light items (like blouses). Try a fabric softener. Loosely load clothes in the washer basket without overloading. Wash in warm or cold water (repeated washing in water that is too hot can cause wrinkling).   • QuestionIn loading a comforter into the GTW330ASK and selecting both "Super" and "Bulky Items", filling lasted briefly then the machine proceeded to wash. We paused the machine and discovered only about 2" of soapy water in the drum. This seems peculiar, is it?

  • QuestionIs this a high-efficiency washing machine? If it is, can you recommend a good wash machine that is not high-efficiency?

    • Answer Yes, it is an top-load high efficiency washer and much better than one that is not. You do not have the problems you tend to have with a front load high efficiency washer. I went from a regular washer to the top-load high efficiency washer and would never go backwards after using this washer.
