  • QuestionDoes this cooktop have a built in down draw? If not, do you have a similar model that does? Model # J P989B0D4BB has the built in down draw but this info is from 2015.

    • Answer Hi Betty- Thanks for viewing GE! JP5030DJBB features SyncBurners- Control two 7” elements simultaneously to evenly heat large cookware or griddles. The space between the burners does not heat up; however, the burners are close enough together that you still get an even cooking area, especially since using Sync will ensure the burners are at the same temperature and will cycle together.   • QuestionDoes the GE JP5030SJSS Cooktop come with a 240 volt plug for installation?

    • Answer Hello- Thank you so much for your question. Cooktops are hard-wired and will not have a plug. It has 3 wires - red, black, and bare ground. (The neutral from the house is not used and should be capped)You must use a two-wire, three conductor 208/240 VAC, 60 Hertz electrical system. A white (neutral) wire is not needed for this unit. The cooktop must be installed in a circuit that does not exceed 125 VAC nominal to ground. If you have any questions in the future, please let us know. We are here to help! Joyce@GEA

    • Answer JXTR32X CUTOUT FILLER TRIM KIT: A filler trim kit is available for use if your countertop cutout is larger than the dimensions shown, up to 29-13/16" x 20-7/16". Order JXTR32X to reduce the cutout opening for installation of this cooktop. This kit may be ordered from your GE Dealer.
