The speed can be controlled, if you want to add a schedule of when it turns on if youre not home you can add the amount of time you want it to run you can control the mode to eco, fan, or auto....all in the app you can even turn it on if youre home in a different room using the app and delay mode to turn it off after a certain time example after an hr you it will automatically turn off for an hr if thats what you set it to.
