Hello, I have had this problem. The original software with Gigabyte’s recovery and optimizations do not help the computer. I deleted the recovery and everything and just use the Windows RE from Microsoft instead of Gigabyte’s Recovery. There’s a new BIOS update though through Gigabyte’s Control Center for power optimization. So that BIOS update should resolve that issue. Otherwise you can use NVIDIA’s Whisper Mode to eliminate the battery drain. So you’d only be playing at 60FPS and that’s the cap NVIDIA places on your system. I have yet to see any power drain issues of the battery after removing Windows and Gigabyte’s Recovery Environment. It’s been couple months without Gigabyte’s Software and Recovery, no issues on my end anymore. The computer seems to work better and faster without Gigabytes software running on windows. I would only install Gigabyte’s Control Center if you’re going to need everything from Gigabyte. Their Control Center Software is needed for fans and changing AI modes, you can get everything for your system again using the Control Center Update Center Tab. Whatever they did made the battery strain to give more power to CPU and GPU when it isn’t needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, my battery drained so fast that I need to plugged in all the time while playing high performance games.
