Chromecast can play from your mobile device. It does not have the apps on the Chromecast. Similar to Airplay whatever you have on your screen, of your smart device, can be “cast” to the Chromecast. It’s shows up as a small box with a wifi signal in it, in the upper right hand corner of your smart device’s screen.
