Does the Pixel 3 come free of Verizon bloatware? I want the Pixel and have Verizon as my carrier but I don't want their software on the phone. null

Yes it does, bought mine from Verizon directly and there is no sign of any bloatware. As for SIM unlock, after activating the phone with Verizon the wait is less than 24 hours. It hapens over night

Yes. Pixel phones do not have any forces apps by the carrier.

Beware that it is SIM locked to Verizon. So if you cancel service, there is no telling if Verizon will allow you to port it to another carrier. They tell you "after a certain amount of time," but that can change, and vary greatly. 

Imagine a scenario where the wait time for unlocking is 6 mo. Then you move to ATT. The phone breaks and is replaced.....well you have to switch back to Verizon for 6 mo?

While there is no confirmed response from Verizon that I know of, there may be a few Verizon Play Store apps that are preinstalled including MyVerizon, VZMessages, and the Go90 app which are all Verizon account specific apps. You may be able to uninstall these apps, but these should be the only Verizon apps found on the device, unlike the Verizon installed apps you might get on a Samsung, LG, or HTC phone.
