If you still have all the original files on the memory card then there is a file that can be used to recover the video. The camera will do this automatically.

I never trim video on the hero 4 silver itself,I import the video and work on it,if I accidentally deleted part of it,I still have the original video...that is if you are using the GoPro editing software.Remember that the software keeps a video after converting it,which means that you'll have 2 videos of the same...raw video...and converted video(after using GoPro software)
If you deleted the video in the GoPro ...I'm afraid it's gone for good.
