Voice commands are built into the camera. The easiest way to activate them is to connect the GoPro to your phone and change it in the settings. Otherwise, press and hold the square button on the camera until it powers on. Now press the menu (square) button again to get into the menus and toggle through the options to the voice command guy. He kind of looks like a little face w sound waves coming out of his mouth. Use the red button on top to select through the menus and change it to on. This will let you use voice commands like "GoPro take a photo"

Yes. You have to turn that feature on in settings, but then you can tell it to start and stop recording with your voice. This is particularly handy if you lose the GoPro, and you don’t have the WiFi turned on, you can call out “GoPro, Record” and listen for the beeps that come from the camera if it is nearby enough to hear your voice.
