It does get hot it's like a heater I know because I own one Hisense is going to tell you whatever they want to tell you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My unit was so hot that I had the inclination to purchase a infrared thermal reader, I temped the hottest spot, left top corner on back right into the top vent 121f DEGREES!! That is certainly Hot. Hot also to touch. NOT WARM. it is HOT. IF you buy one of these get some cooling fans and put under it and if possible put two 80mm fans on the top vent. The TV is confirmed to not have any internal cooling system. It does not seem to matter what content is playing, a screen saver running will still make the tv that hot. Another thing to buy is and aftermarket 4 yr protection plan, Geek SDquad is only 2 years and it is beyond their abilities. Great Picture though but if you do not act fast and get cooling moving through the TV IT will not last you longer than 2-3 months. Overheating is not good for electronics.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have one and yes you can feel the heat coming off of it heaps more than my samsung 2018 65inch which you don't notice any heat at all. Not super hot or hot to touch but I definitely notice the radiant heat
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this tv gets very hot. I have on on a small bedroom and we have to run fans to cool down the room if you want for more than 20mins.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought the 65" Hisense a couple of months back and I was unplugging another component and happened to touch the Hisense. I was shocked how hot it was. To Hisense rep who commented: it is way beyond warm, fool. Maybe if you were on the sun, you could say it was warm, but trust me alarming hot!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This TV exceeds 120 degrees via infrared thermal read espoecially the top left exhaust on the back. I have noticed it is not vented as well as any other TV. However I spoke to Hisense about this and wen't as far as nearly warrantying it but the Hisense representatives said this is normal operating temperature for the UG8, and Since the picture look great I will trust Hisense. I just hope it does not effect my extended warranty with Geek Squad.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I own the 65" Hisense U8G, and I can concur that it does indeed get hotter than even my 10 year old Plasma. I am surprised how hot it gets, so much I run a fan on the back to hope it doesn't burn out from overheating. That's all I need is too lose another 1300 before it's paid off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Hisense Customer, Thank you for your interest in the Hisense 55U8G. No the TV does not get hot, because LCD TVs are thin and the cabinet enclosure is relatively small, heat generated by the LED backlight located at the bottom or side of the TV is more noticeable. The warm temperature is normal operation, but not hot. If you have any further questions or concerns please give us a call at 1-888-935-8880 or email us at [email protected].
