It's extremely easy to set up. I had it up and running quickly. Needs a cell phone to do it if memory serves. The app helps with getting it connected to your wifi network.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's plug and play. You have to download an app on your phone first though, so it can receive the WiFi SSID/password. Simply, take it out of the box, and plug it in. Then download the app and set up the WiFi (through the app). Then you're all set.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes for the most part it is "plug-n-play" You need to download the Google Home app from your app store (Android or iOS) and it will search for the Google Home, once it finds your Google Home it prompts you for your Wi-Fi password and that's pretty much it... after that it's a matter of saying the trigger words and your off to the races... So to recap you need a smart phone and Wi-Fi for the Google Home to function.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Setup for Home is like setup for all other Google products: seamless and programmed as though the common user is technologically illiterate. Do have your phone on the primary wifi network you want the Google Home to reside on. It should be the same SSID as anything you want the Home to interface with (such as Google cast or smart home stuff). Do place it within an acceptable range to your router. If your phone only has one bar, the Google Home most likely won't have good connection either Do download the Google Home app Do not overthink it. This product is very simple and it is well documented in the setup app. If in doubt have your kids ended up
