Not exactly sure what you mean by two wire. Is it that you only have heating? If that is the case it will work for your heating system as long as it's a 24V system and you have a "C" wire or are able to get one connected to power the thermostat. You may need to get an HVAC company in to check your wiring before you purchase this. If you have more pre-purchase questions the customer service at Honeywell was great when I contacted them with questions. Good Luck!

Hi Jeff, 
The Honeywell Smart Color Thermostat with Wi-Fi Connectivity does require additional wire for power. However you can connect a 24V plugin transformer and attach one wire to C and the other to RC, this would get the unit power.
