A garden hose is too large in diameter, but I suppose you could insert the drain hose into the garden hose for a loose fit. I would suggest you take the supplied drain hose and match it up at a hardware store for a press fit into a clear vinyl hose.

Dehumidifier · Answer

A standard garden hose fitting is suggested. I would choose a hose with a knurled female connection. There isn't much room between the threaded port and the shell of the dehumidifier. So hoses with large nuts or plastic around the hose connector probably will not work.

The hose that I purchased is 5' long with just one female hose connector. The dehumidifier needs to be tilted to the back to prevent the water from filling the tank.
