Yes but once you take it out of s mode there is no going back. I took mine out of s mode to download apps I specifically needed and all works well

However, you can easily (but permanently) switch out of S Mode to download apps from any site. Please keep in mind that the regular version of Windows will utilize more system memory and resources.
