• Yes, it will be compatible with any computer with a VGA, HDMI or DVI connection. Though it only comes with a vga cable. For better output you will need to purchase an HDMI or DVI cable.

• Yes, it will work with an HP Slimline desktop. It's a monitor, as long as it has a corresponding connector (VGA, DVI, HDMI) it will work with anything you buy off the shelf at a store.
