As computers are getting smaller and more lightweight CD/DVD drives are being phased out to make room for larger batteries. You can always use an external CD/DVD drive which are very affordable and will work with any computer you have or will get in the future. This allows you to get the benefits of the latest designs while being able to use a CD/DVD anytime you need.

If you need to install a program that's on DVD/CD you can purchase an external DVD/CD device (USB). They run less than $50.
