• Dear CopyCrazy; Nope, you do not have to have an Internet connection to make a copy. This HP printer could be used as a standalone printer, plugged only into your laptop or desktop. Like schools did in the past, they had enormous copy machines. Imagine taking that same image and shrinking down into an HP printer--that's what it looks like. Best of luck.
