QuestionCan this refrigerator go outside on a patio?I would like to put a small refrigerator on my back patio to keep water and beer for my husband when he works outside. Does this refrigerator work well if heat from the evening sun is on it?

- Answer It should work fine on a outside patio, as along as it's out of the weather. If you have it in the direct sun, it might affect the cooling ability.

- Answer You could get a 12 pack to sit on it’s side if you take a shelf out. We use ours exclusively as a beer fridge and take them out of the carton. It easily holds over two cases of cans

QuestionWe just got this mini fridge a few days ago, and it seems to be cooling fine. However, it makes a strange noise whenever the compressor comes on. It sounds like a single guitar string being plucked. Is this normal or an indication of a problem?

- Answer Mine is about 2 weeks old and it makes the single string pluck sound when the compressor kicks on, it just started today that i noticed but it still keeps things cold inside. Doesnt seem to be an issue but i could be wrong

QuestionHow do you turn the fridge on/off. I see the thermostat and of course the plug, but I cant figure out how to turn it on-it says not to unplug!

- Answer To turn ours on we just plugged it in and adjusted the temperature control. We turned ours off for vacation by turning the temperature control to '0' when returning we just turned the temp up and it did not take long to get cold.

QuestionThe manual says not to use an extension cord but is there any option that will work? I am living in a dorm room with plugs that are too high for the cord to reach.

- Answer This unit draws 90 watts, or 1.5 amps. If you use a GOOD 14 or 16 gauge SHORT (10 foot or less) extension cord you should be O.K. Just remember this unit runs most of the time, and small cords like lamp extension cords WILL heat up! A safer alternative might be to put nicely covered blocks (bricks?) to raise the unit up, this will also increase cooling! Good Luck!

- Answer Inside dimensions: 23-1/2" H, 15-1/2" W, and the shelves are 10" deep. Hope this helps!

- Answer The higher the setting, the colder it gets. Lower the number dial to about 5/7 and you should be okay.

- Answer Because the evap coil will buildup frost which will insulate the coil from the fridge and make it warmer.

QuestionIs the back completely closed off? Or left partially open for the condenser and for heat dissipation, which most mini-fridges seem to do. We have a small cat who gets into everything and so prefer a completely closed back.

- Answer Open. Maybe 8" by 8". You can either tape a piece of old screen or even cheesecloth over the opening. Description say's it can go against the back wall, but I wouldn't. Leave room to breath. Nothing to do with the fridge, but a 'potpourri' satchel of hot pepper flakes in the area you wish the cat not to go works.

- Answer Top two holders, NO. The rest maybe. Depends on how full you load the shelves. I filled the shelves maxed out with cans, and nothing in the door besides 12 oz. Do not max out the shelves, it may work.
