I think they are referring to your breaker box or fuse panel. I don't understand the 30'. I have surge protectors and other electric cables within 6' of my breaker box and have no issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm certain the 30ft distance refers to the length of the cable run vice the wall-to-wall distance; however, if in doubt don't purchase.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it means in direct line with no separation such as walls or floors.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I didn't see that in my package, but one bath is only 5 feet from our electric panel & the other is about 28 feet away. We have a smaller "Cottage Home". This unit DOES have 2 lights in the front/middle of the unit - 1 says "surge" & other says "ground", and both are lit green. I haven't had any issues with either of them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This made no sense to me either, unless they think the further away from the panel, the less surge. Mine is installed on the inside wall the other side from the service panel. So far, so good. I had to have a multi outlet there and one with surge protection should be better. Hope I'm correct. 30 feet from the panel and I can't use it. Hope this helps.
