Using with 220V power The 2DS cannot be charged straight from a 220 power source. We have been using a step down transformer to charge it, but due to the other appliances using the transformer, this is a pain. Will this allow the 2DS to be charged through a USB port in a computer plugged into 220 power without damage to the 2DS?

You should be able to. PC USB voltage is a pretty universal standard, capping out at 5V (but rarely reaching that). It will have an effect on your charging speed and possibly, over several months of charging solely on your PC, the longevity and lifespan of the battery. But these batteries are easy and cheap to replace so no big dealio.

It should be fine, since the computer steps the power from the 220V outlet down to 120 internally, so yes, it will work and it will not damage the 2DS, and also USB power circuits are universal also, they only provide a set number of volts or millivolts to be exact regardless of the PC's power supply.

Yes, this can be charged from a USB port. All USB ports output 5v, regardless of the power voltage being supplied to the PC.
