A:Answeryes that is the remote you have to have to set it up. I also had to download the Amazon fire app to my phone and add the new remote on the app to get that remote to sync with the tv to be able to use it for the set up! Hope this helps!
A:Answerwe found out that it has to be really fresh batteries, ours wouldn't work with the first batteries we put in so my husband went and bought some new non-generic brand batteries and it started working again.
