The unit comes with a dock - we put the dock under a chair in the middle area of the house, and it comes out on schedule and cleans most rooms - some days it will skip one and get another. Then after about an hour it goes back to the dock. The wife really likes it -

This particular brand has a different unit that will mop. This line of iRobots only vacuums. The charging dock is already included in the box.
