What are the differences between roomba 980 & 960? null

The 980 has carpet boost, a longer battery life (75 vs 120 minutes), 2 virtual walls vs 1, newer motor, and 10X the suction vs 5X.

960 does not.

we have 3 pets and area rugs, carpet and tile. 980 handles all of them easily.

we asked the same question and found that the 980 has the newest more powerful motor for turbo clean on carpets etc and a larger battery offering double the run time of the 960. Everything else is the same from what I found. Hope This Helps.
