Yes, we move ours upstairs and down. It does map your home to clean efficiently, so when you move it takes a little time to re-learn, but not a noticeable difference, so we just move the docking station to whichever floor we want to use it on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use two robots 1 for upstairs and 1 for downstairs. I say it is best to have two roomba’s if you have two floors then you can start both at the same time without moving the robot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just posted a review which should answer this question. Some rooms will not be cleaned automatically. I moved the dock to those rooms, erased the memory and left it. This should work on any level. One would have to make sure it doesn't fall down the stairs. This is done using an electronic barrier. Two are included. I have not used mine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Assuming the home base is upstairs and you carried it downstairs with no way of it getting back upstairs - 1) It will complete the cleaning downstairs with whatever battery life that is left in it, it wont be able to recharge and continue cleaning. 2) The mapping wont be confused, it simply restarts the mapping again once it is moved to a new location. 3) You cannot program Roomba's mapping without any hacking. you can prevent it from going places with the "Light House" but other wise, it will simply go anywhere it is able to. 4) it is not able to climb or go down stairs
