Which means, 1) that you can workout with them in (if you can get them to stay the whole time) and not have to worry about water droplets or moisture ruining them. 2) You can probably wear them when its raining and it won't ruin them (a hard rain or deluge is another story).. same thing applies water splashing on them. No, though...they are NOT waterproof. So don't wear them for very long while you are in the shower. (In fact, don't wear them in the shower at all lol. But if you did briefly it probably wouldn't wreck them.) Please don't wear them swimming either.
Sorry that I can't recommend a pair that is ipx8 at this price point (you'd probably have to get an off-brand); that's pretty much as close to a "waterproof" certification as you can get. You can have them submersed in atleast three(3) feet of water; which means basically they can fall in the dish sink, toilet, a lake or body of water and be okay if you take them back out. You probably could shower with an ipx8 certified pair of headphones/earbuds. Haha.
