- Answer I'm running it on 150 watts and it really kicks (pun intended). The sound quality is excellent. No rattling or buzzing. Not muddy. Very pure sound.

- Answer Yes, you will need an amplifier to power and get the best performance from this KICKER loaded subwoofer enclosure. This product is rated for 300 Watts RMS. For maximum performance of your speaker systems, KICKER recommends using an amplifier that is rated to produce +/- 20% Watts RMS of your speaker systems RMS rated power. So, with a 300 Watt RMS rated speaker system, KICKER recommends using an amplifier that falls within the 240-360 Watts RMS range. Always keep in mind that smaller amplifiers will also sound great but just not get you the full output (SPL, loudness) potential of your speaker systems. We recommend setting the gains properly on your amp properly and do not operate your amplifier into clipping. If you have further questions, please feel free to reach out to KICKER Technical Support.
