Yeah it is but you would know because they would smell really burnt also you would see smoke. I think maybe just a wire got disconnected from your Alpine install, also it is posable to blow your 12 with this amp. If the Amp was set all the way up and you played constaint bass notes for like more than five minutes maybe.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's possible your power or ground wire came lose from the amp. No matter what amp you're using to power you're subs, they will not blow. They can handle almost any amp you pair them up with. Kicker speakers will start making a pop sound as a warning before they completely stop working. Also you can smell the center of the sub to see if it smell burnt. I doubt the subs are blown. I think it's an installation problem. Kicker products wont ever let you down!
