It depends on what you are looking for: i7 is more powerful (which is good for things such as gaming), but uses more electricity to run and creates more heat. i5 on the other hand uses less electricity than the i7, thus means better battery life (so its good if you move around a lot).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For my use I'm going with the 5i. It has an i5 processor instead of the i7 in the 7i (great naming scheme) but the 10 core i5 is more than enough for my use case. The RAM also natively runs faster in the 5i (5200MHz vs 4800MHz). The 5i also has more connectivity options, a smaller screen size (which is personal preference, I want smaller for the portability), and, very importantly, has a longer battery life rating than the 7i. All this with a noticeably lower price made my decision incredibly easy. Again though, if you TRULY need the extra cores from the i7, the 7i is still a great laptop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on what you are wanting or needing. The I5's have come a long way with raw horsepower. If you are looking for a video editing platfor. That is focused on multiple tasks running at the same time i would go with an I7. Think of it like the difference between a puzzle vs a rubrics cube. A puzzle typically you work on 1 sectio. At a time. A rubics cube the move you make now is for the next move so you are thinking about more than 1 part at the same time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think 7I
