“I'm thinking about upgrading my sound system to one that supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. How effective would this system be in a room approximately 12' x 12' with a drop ceiling just over 7' high? I would be using rear surround sound speakers with it.”

Our Family Room is small (15' x 13') with 8' high ceiling. Our 55" LG OLED CX TV and SN8YG sound bar are about 10.5' from where we sit on the couch. We have the additional SPK8-S rear speaker kit mounted on the wall behind the couch. With the small space and combination of sound bar and rear speakers, The sound and clarity is outstanding! We literally haven't gone above volume setting 20 due to he enormous sound and base this thing puts out, especially when playing something in Dolby Atmos! At that volume setting, things on shelves and walls begin to rattle and you have to raise your voice quite a bit to speak to someone just a few feet from you. We've had the system for a few months now and have been really impressed. Our older sound bar was a 6 year old Samsung and there is no comparison. Hope this helps.
