A:Answer Should have a 1 year manufacturers warranty, this would only apply to problems resulting from defective components, ex. Would be if the WiFi functions stopped working.
Anything that could've been caused from mishandling, etc. like a cracked screen would not be covered.
Manufacturers warranties require going through LG, not BestBuy. Manufacturer is much more difficult to deal with, and takes more time.
It is always better to have the GeekSquad warranty if you can afford it, especially if you have young children, or large pets. They are the two most likely causes of non defect related problems.
If you cannot afford the GeekSquad warranty. I strongly suggest wall mounting the television to keep it safer, and it's always more ascetically pleasing, especially with larger tvs
