We understand your situation and appreciate your focus on ensuring your monitor performs at its best over time. LG’s OLED technology incorporates several built-in features to help minimize the risk of image retention or burn-in. These monitors typically include mechanisms such as pixel shifting, automatic screen savers, and maintenance modes that help disperse static elements and prevent prolonged display of fixed images. As a troubleshooting step, we recommend checking your monitor’s on-screen settings to ensure that any features designed to protect against burn-in—such as screen shift or automatic brightness adjustments—are enabled. It’s also a good idea to vary your content regularly and confirm that the monitor’s firmware is up to date, as LG periodically releases updates that enhance these protective functions. For further guidance or a more detailed walkthrough on adjusting these settings for optimal protection, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport.
