Yes. This is a CDMA phone. I am using it on Straight Talk which uses Verizon's towers with fantastic coverage. I no longer randomly lose signal while driving around my neighborhood. It also doesn't cut out on the interstate or at 3 of the 4 stops I have out of town when making deliveries. T-mobile uses Sprints towers now that they are merged, which is the same communication technology as Verizon. You will need a SIM card for the company you decide to have service from. Their website should have a "compatibility process" to order the right SIM card using the IMEI in the phone once you receive it.

It does work on the T Mobile network. I have Metro which is the same network and have no problems.
