it does both seamlessly, you can also connect to one device wirelessly and another via Bluetooth.

This mouse has dual connectivity. It also has a rechargeable battery and will allow 70+ hours of use between charges. I bought this mouse because of issues I was having with my hands and the design of it has helped tremendously. I highly recommend this mouse!
