In Windows press F7 key. Screen will darken and a drop down will appear top center of screen. you have 4 boxes offering 'Rectangle' snip, 'Freeform' snip, 'Window' snip, 'Fullscreen' snip and a final box 'X' that closes the snippet function. You can then paste this from your clip board to your desired editor.
