If this was an issue, think it has been resolved. I can tell you that when I pulled this out of the box, there was not only WinOS updates, but did see firmware updates come across. I have had this thing for almost two weeks and have been pushing the system to its limits with all of my photo and video editing; have yet to experience this issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the i7, 32 Gb ram 500 Gb drive. So far no freezing up or blacking out. If these problems were occurring 3 months ago my guess is that they have fixed the problems. When I bought my Surface Pro 4 it was pre ordered so I got one of the first ones. It had a few issues the first couple of weeks but I still have that computer and it is running fine without issues. I am what would be considered a power user so I have put the Surface Book 3 through the paces without problem. Some old equipment has worked when I thought I would have a problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can tell you it happens on my Book-2 and has cost me thousands in lost work. I’d be cautious as after a year they don’t warranty and Microsoft is closing their physical locations.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no it has not
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine was nearly $2700 and it freezes occasionally. Even with firmware updates installed. I bought mine 6 months ago as well. It's not all the time, but it is annoying
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought a new device last month and it does black out when in use. It does come back on easily when I hit the button to turn it on. It is still annoying and not good for the amount of money spent on it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem , my surface book 3 never turn on again after getting windows update and make restart request. It happened after just 10 days using. Tried all technics but not succesful. If any useful advise that can be helpful to turn on this device pls kindly share.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I read a lot of concerns about this as well. I don’t know what set it off but mine froze once. I powered off in accordance with what Microsoft website said to do and it powered back on without issue . So - I’ve had mine for a month and it occurred one time. Started right back up after the shutdown and minor delay. I’ve updated the device since then and have had no issues since. When it did occur, the device auto saved what I was working on (I use Microsoft 365).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have been using it for 10 days, never saw that issue crop up in normal usage. When doing heavy graphic intensive editing stuff with primarily long video clips, tends to overheat an cpu cooling system either throttles own cpu or as you say freezes up but once cooled down task resumes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We bought this laptop in the summer of 2020. We've had blacked out screens unwilling to restart, blue screens, and for some reason randomly black and white lines appearing and covering the entire screen. While typing this, my wife had 4 blue screens this evening alone. No idea what the issue is, but kind of wishing we wouldn't have bought it.
