• I am not sure the answer to that. I would assume if your MacBook has Bluetooth then yes it should work. I know Best Buy is really good about taking things back if they don’t work properly. For me, it works fantastic. You just turn it on get it near your laptop and it connects.

• It's just a Bluetooth mouse branded with Microsoft. I'm using it on a Dell laptop. I don't have a MacBook. If Apple lets you use any Bluetooth mouse, this one should work.
