My instructions say the same thing however there's no slot (like someone said) or any other place that the cutter can be stored. The closest thing I found is from the person who posted the picture of the cutter resting against the opener. I wish Modal would respond to this. I'd love to know why they say it can be stored on the charging base. Maybe there's a way, I couldn't find it tho.

I don’t think there’s any specific place to store it...I just set it behind the opener

It only works if you remove the device, since it's cordless and can be stored anywhere; the base holds the cutter.

There is a slot for the cutter on the back of the base.
