Nest Wifi will work with your FIOS modem/router combo. However, having two routers broadcasting their own private networks may lead to some connection issues if you play online games and use port forwarding. This situation is called a Double NAT and you can find out more about it here: https://support.google.com/wifi/answer/6277579#what-is-double-nat

If you prefer to have only Nest Wifi router broadcasting your Wi-Fi network, then you would need to disable the Wi-Fi functionality of your combo. If you need assistance on how to do this, you may need to reach out to your internet service provider.

You can use this nest wifi at the same time. Just give your new network a different name and password. I must say the nest wifi does work great and super easy to set up! It prompts for every thing until you're completly set up. Good luck.....Roger

You can use both, but you shouldn’t because it’s unnecessary radio interference. Just turn off the WiFi in the router one and enable bridge mode so the google WiFi hub can get a public Internet address and not have to deal with the router other than to ask for a public IP

You can have both modems (regardless of your modem/router type/brand) transmitting but they will be on different networks/channels (meaning your WiFi device would have to disconnect from one to connect to the other. That might be fine for a guest network (the Nest device also allows for a separate a guest network) or a stationary device in a remote room but not so great for a mobile device. I ran this sort of set up in my garage for a while but my phone tried to hold on to the main WiFi - even with 1 bar - instead of dropping the main in favor of the strong signal coming from the second router in the garage. I ended up adding another Nest device to extend the signal on the main which made everything much easier. Good luck!

It should work, so long as you disable the verizon's wifi. You can only have one or the other =)
