Yes. In the extender configuration webpage, you would need to log in to the original wireless router just like you would on a cell phone, tablet, or laptop. The extender directions explain this fairly well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have two different brands of extenders one of these and one a Cisco I think. My main router is a Linksys WRT1900AC Wireless AC Router and I don't even know if it has a wps button and if it does I've never ever used it, never on any of my routers in the past either. What I'm saying is I can only assume it will. It just picks up signal from your main router and amplifies it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it works with most current routers. You just will have to manually set it up because you don't have a WPS button function on your current router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should. Setup without using the WPS button is done through a browser. The device (phone/laptop/etc) is connected to the extender and you are supposed to go to a "website" that will actually be the set up for the extender. The set up includes choosing which router you want to extend the signal of, then choosing a name and password for the new signals. There is also a username and password to keep others from changing the settings, though this can easily be gone around by resetting the device.
