Yes, the Nikon Coolpix P530 is a point-and-shoot camera, but with many optional manual settings. It is not a DSLR, and you cannot change lenses. It does, however, have an excellent wide-angle 42x telephoto lens, which is more than adequate for the non-professional photographer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The COOLPIX P530 is not an interchangeable lens camera. The camera does have manual exposure modes such as Program, Aperture, Shutter and Manual Exposure Priority. The camera, in addition, can be operated fully automatic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.All these series of cameras can be 'point and shoot'. But as with any automatic camera setting, you get averages. The P530 is part of a group referred to as "bridge camera" that also have many manual and advanced settings like the more expensive cameras, but do NOT accept multiple lenses. These are not really cameras as much as they are small computers that have a smart lens. It is amazing what each new model is capable of doing. You can even massage and edit prior shots in the camera.
