“How does it operate without the electric cord attached from the remote to the car?”

• You remove the wire, that's for the "try me" feature. Add batteries to the remote

• The cord is removed when you un-package the kart and controller. The wire is only for the "demo" purposes, so the controller can make the wheels turn to antigravity in the store on the shelf. The car and remote work through wireless connection.

• That cord isn't an electric cord. I think it's for storage it does nothing
