I have loaded Norton 360 on computers already affected with malware/viruses and was able to perform a full scan and clean up the hard drives with no problem. However, you may encounter preexisting malware/viruses which are more pervasive and may hamper Norton’s ability to operate. These would have to be removed manually.

 You can download power eraser to remove the virus/malware and then install Norton 360.
