A:Answer Unless stated otherwise, the cooking time in your recipe is the time it takes to cook after the Nutri-Pot has built up pressure. Once you close the lid and press start, it can take up to 15 minutes to reach pressure depending on what food is being cooked and how much liquid is in the pot. The Texture button lets you adjust the consistency of your pressure-cooked foods. There are 3 choices for each food preset. The Nutri-Pot cooks at Normal by default, but you can select Less or More depending on your desired outcome. For example, if you want to cook beans al dente for a salad, select Less with the Texture button. If you want softer beans for soups or chili, select Normal with the Texture button. If you want even softer beans to make refried beans, select More with the Texture button.
