Yes your allowed to install it yourself but they haven’t made it as easy as Dish Network or USSB , DIRECTV in their early days with installation kits and dish’s.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just an FYI. I was seriously wanting to get Orby TV ( and drop expensive cable service in Sioux City, IA) and install ALL equipment myself however, as I looked at purchasing Orby Dish/ Antenna kit, I came across a notice that stated there was NO WARRANTY on equipment if you did a self installation! (Go to the Orby TV Self Installation Guide to see it in writing). I Emailed Orby about this clause and guess what? I never got a single response from them. So that is a deal breaker for me. A self install should have no impact on an equipment warranty!

They sell an install kit on the orby.com site that includes the satellite dish, antenna for local TV, and mounting hardware. If you have had Dish or DirecTV installed on your house recently (within the last 10 years or so), you most likely can use the cables they had from their dish (and maybe even their dish mast). orby.com also sells a signal meter for aiming your dish for $20 which is cheaper than anywhere I found it for online. Also, the Orby price for the install kit and optional signal meter includes shipping! If you have to run your own cables from the dish into your house, you will need to use quality RG6 cable and good quality splitters and grounding blocks... in that case it might be cheaper to pay the $150 for the professional install.
