• One difference is that the commuter is scratch resistant and the symmetry is not. Another is that the symmetry is clear and the commuter is not.

• The Symmetry is slimmer; the Commuter is thicker. The Symmetry case is one-piece; you slide the phone into the case. The Commuter is two-pieces; believe it snaps on but not sure.
