A:Answer The Arlo Pro 2's that I have work outdoors -perfectly. I wrapped them with Silicone skins for additional protection, they come in many shapes and styles, e.g. if you're looking to camouflage, or deflect rainfall from the lenses, etc... I have not experienced any picture degradation in high temperatures (>90'F ) but I did notice some random pixelation in extremely low temperatures (-5'F and lower) but they continued to function regardless. How long the batteries last depends on the activity that occurs causing it to monitor and record. If it's just detecting visitors at your front doorstep or very loud noises (both motion and sound detection can be adjusted for 'recording sensitivity') then one charge will last months. But if it's recording every time a tree branch sways or car drives past your house (assuming busy neighborhood) it will only last a couple weeks. When drained to 5% of their life they fully recharge in about 5 hours. If you want to monitor every moving thing in the cameras viewing range then you'll want to get a power adapter (they make them up to 30' lengths) and never worry about recharging.
