I believe the hub is referred to the base that controls a specific device(s) where a bridge links a device(s) to your WiFi. For example my hue lights came with a hub. The hub is hooked into my router and controls my hue lights from any where I have internet connection. My August lock is Bluetooth by itself, but with an August bridge, my lock is connected to my WiFi so I can access it from where ever I have internet access. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.IF YOU HAVE A PRODUT WITH A HUB YOU DO NOT NEED A BRIDGE TO CONTOL YOUR SMART BULBS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need the bridge to control any bulbs or other hue lighting that you have, so without the bridge the bulbs don’t work, essentially it’s a controller that plugs directly into your router to send a signal to all of your corresponding bulbs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hubs and bridges are essentially the same thing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought a 4-pack starter kit with color lights and a bridge. Then I purchased one white smart bulb that automatically connects to the same bridge wirelessly. I other words, one my bridge is connected to my wi-fi router, all lights are then controlled through the Phillips app and also in my case with Alexa. So you neee a bridge to make it work. The other way I believe if you buy smart plugs, the lights can work that way as well, but then you need smart plugs and then smart wall switches to control high hats.
