Yes, it will be strong enough as long as you have a MagSafe case or no case at all. MagSafe friendly cases make the connection much stronger, but they are not needed.

It holds my 13 pro as well as or better than any other mag safe products. If your 14 works with other mag safe well then I’d say go for it. With any mag safe, don’t trust it too much. I would LT dangle it over a cliff, but I use it to watch videos all the time just supported from the pop.
