A:AnswerIt is controlled via an app through your smart phone. Changing carriers or changing phones should not matter. If you lost your phone, you would download the app to your new phone and sign in with a password to take control of your rachio. I don't think the app is available on a desktop computer but you can look by going to the App Store and looking for the Rachio app. It is a great product!
