Is the wrist rest detachable? null

Yes it just rests against the keyboard.

The wrist rest is not actually "attached" it just slides up against it.

it just pushes up to rest against keyboard, kept moving around and I have many keyboards on desk. I got Velcro strips from hardware store and it stays together really well. Perfect solution.

Yes, it doesnt really attach just slides into place.

It doesn't attach directly to the keyboard. Instead it lays in front of it with it own set of non slip tabs on the bottom. It is a totally optional piece.
